  • THURSDAY'S TIP TIPS FOR STITCHING “FASTER” A frequent question I get asked is “How do you stitch so quickly?” Here are some tips - 1. Be organized Take the time to organize you threads (I use little plastic bags on a ring) in alphabetical order or numerical order. This will save you time so you can stitch more rather than spending time looking for a thread. 2. Use good tools The right size needle, laying tool/trolley needle , stretcher bars if you prefer and a good scissor(my favorite are the cotton candy scissors) will make stitching easy and comfortable. I keep my tools in a small metal magnetic dish so they are right there when I want to stitch. 3. Create a stitching area A comfortable chair, good lighting and magnification if needed are a must. Keep your project along with all your threads and tools in your “nest”, so you can sit and stitch without wasting time looking for them. 4. List pad I keep a paper pad handy to keep a list of threads/embellishments when I am running low. This way you can pick them up when you visit your LNS. 5. Books Keep your favorite stitch reference books in your stitching area to refer to as needed. Happy Stitching. Susan .
